We do our very best to supply the product with the original FT232RL chip, however there is no software available from the manufacturer (FTDI) to say this with 100% certainty. However, there are often counterfeit chips on the market that only imitate the FT232RL to a certain extent and do not contain the more complex functionality that the original FT232RL chip does have. We pre-test many of these functions to ensure that we sell a batch with (most likely) a original chip. If you have any doubts whether the chip is original in your case, we would like to hear from you which function is not working properly. For example, we may be able to extend our tests to prevent the sale of counterfeit chips as much as possible.
