5x TCRT5000 Tracking and Object Sensor Module

With this module you can detect the proximity of an object or follow a black line using infrared light. This module works based on reflection of infrared light.
When following a line, the black line must therefore absorb infrared light (approximately 950 nm). When detecting an object, the infrared light must accurately reflect on the object in order to be able to detect it.

The outputs of the module are high if the reflection value of the infrared light falls below a certain threshold value (eg a black line), and thus low if it raises above the threshold value.
This threshold value is fixed and therefore the threshold value must be determined with the distance of the module to the black line or object. (Depending on the material)
There are seven LEDs on the module that indicate the status of the output pins.

• End stop for detection of an object that activates the switch
• VCC pin: 5V pin
• GND pin: ground/min/gnd pin
• S1: digital output indicating the status of the S1 sensor
• S2: digital output indicating the status of the S2 sensor
• S3: digital output indicating the status of the S3 sensor
• S4: digital output indicating the status of the S4 sensor
• S5: digital output indicating the status of the S5 sensor
• CLP: digital output indicating the status of the switch
• Near: digital output indicating the status of the object sensor (sensitivity can be set with the potentiometer)

Note: The module is delivered "flat". The infrared LED and infrared sensor must be bent upwards for use so that the switch can function. See the images for the correct position.
